"Culture eats Strategy for breakfast" is a famous Peter Drucker quote.
As #salesleaders, we know that our #salesculture always determines our success regardless of the effectiveness of our sales process, messaging, goals and KPIs.
The human factor is especially important for the success of our sales team. Culture isn't about comfy chairs and happy hours. Rather, it's more about the ways our sales reps act in critical situations, how they manage pressure and respond to various challenges, and how they treat partners and customers, and each other.
Sales culture is dependable on the leaders. Culture is the way our sales team operates. Culture defines engagement, passion, and execution.
Nurturing a high performing sales culture that leads to growth is an art and there is no single motion that will create it. But we can start the process by:
- Understanding what motivates each person
- Building trust
- Creating a positive environment
- Defining our team standards
Practical example: in your weekly meetings, ask each rep to share their wins and challenges, celebrate each other's achievements, and give constructive feedback. This practice helps foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
